• Parent Account Information: Email address, display name, and password (encrypted) for parent/guardian accounts.
• Child Profile Information: First name, age, and avatar selection. We do not collect children's email addresses, photos, or location data.
• Learning Progress: Stories read, quiz scores, badges earned, and points accumulated to track educational progress.
• Device Information: Push notification tokens for delivering daily wisdom quotes and learning reminders.

2. Audio Permissions

Our app requests audio permissions solely to enable interactive audio narration features within stories and quizzes. We use text-to-speech technology to read stories and quiz questions aloud for younger children. We do not record, store, or transmit any audio from the user's device microphone.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information exclusively to:

• Provide personalized educational content appropriate for each child's age group.
• Track learning progress and award achievements.
• Send educational notifications (daily wisdom quotes, streak reminders).
• Process subscription payments through Stripe (payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store payment card details).
• Improve our educational content and app experience.

4. AI-Generated Content

Our app uses artificial intelligence services (OpenAI and Google Gemini) to generate age-appropriate educational stories, quiz content, images, and audio narration about Indian culture, traditions, and values. No personal information about children is sent to these AI services. Only generic content prompts are used.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third parties. We share data only with:

• Stripe: For processing subscription payments (parent accounts only).
• OpenAI and Google: For generating educational content (no personal data is shared).
• Expo (EAS): For delivering app updates and push notifications.

6. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored securely using encrypted databases. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Authentication uses JWT tokens. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect all stored information.

7. Parental Controls

Parents have full control over their children's accounts through the Parent Dashboard:

• View and manage child profiles.
• Monitor learning progress and quiz performance.
• Approve or deny reward redemptions.
• Delete child profiles and associated data at any time.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account data for as long as the account is active. Parents can request deletion of their account and all associated children's data by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion request, all personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

We are committed to protecting children's privacy:

• We require parental consent (account creation by parent) before any child data is collected.
• We do not collect more information than necessary for educational purposes.
• Children cannot make purchases; subscriptions are managed by parents.
• We do not display behavioral advertising to children.
• Parents can review, modify, or delete their children's information at any time.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes through the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
